Restricted asbestos removal
Restricted asbestos is also known as bonded asbestos and does not emit as many fibres as unrestricted asbestos. Made up of a matrix of material such as resins and cement, bonded asbestos can be found in cement pipes, flue pipes and corrugated sheeting, amongst other places. The Action Asbestos team is qualified for safe bonded asbestos removal and disposal. Bonded asbestos is non-friable and does not easily crumble, making it easier to work with and remove than unrestricted asbestos.
Unrestricted asbestos removal
Also known as friable asbestos, unrestricted asbestos is any material that contains asbestos and can be reduced to powder by hand. Largely used in boiler and pipe lagging, millboard, as spray-on limpet asbestos and for rope and cloth, friable asbestos poses an even more serious health hazard because the fine powder finds its way into the air and can cause breathing problems.
Friable asbestos removal requires the skill and knowledge of our dedicated team who also do air monitoring to ensure overall safety. It’s not a job that should be taken lightly by underqualified personnel. This material needs to be removed within Worksafe Regulations and legally disposed of, which we also offer.
Removal of asbestos fencing
The removal of asbestos fencing requires Worksafe experience, which our entire team has. All our staff wear protective clothing and will vacuum your premises on completion of the job using the latest vacuum technology, which is designed for hazardous dust. If you are considering purchasing a property that currently has asbestos fencing and roofing, we offer air monitoring and soil remediation as well as a consulting service where our specialists will advise you accordingly.
